What are some good foods for dipping?
We tried this dip with baguette slices, these gluten-free crackers, and veggie sticks (carrots and celery). Other great options would be various crackers like butter crackers, melba toast crackers, pita chips, pretzels and even tortilla chips.
Try other veggies like chopped broccoli and cauliflower bites.
This hearty dip can even be used as a spread for burgers and sandwiches, providing even more flavor!
Can I make this Cheesy Bacon Spinach Dip ahead of time?
Yes you can. In fact, I made this cheesy dip a day before I was serving it and it came out fantastic.
Just mix everything up and cover in a bowl with plastic wrap. When you want to serve this dip, place in baking dish and bake as normal. Can be made up to 2 days before wanting to serve.
Can I use fresh spinach instead of frozen?
Yes! If you don’t have or can’t find frozen spinach, then use fresh; about 4 cups. Simply sauté fresh spinach in a little olive or avocado oil and cook until wilted.
Wait until spinach has cooled down and squeeze out extra moisture until it’s dry. Extra moisture left in the spinach will cause the dip to be a bit runny and just not quite how we want the dish to turn out.
