Equipment

  • 1 9x13" ceramic or glass baking dish

Ingredients

Apple Cinnamon Rolls:

  • 2 17.5 oz. cans cinnamon rolls, ex. Annie's brand
  • 2 21 oz. cans apple pie filling
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cinnamon Streusel Topping:

  • 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 3 TBSP. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • pinch of salt, optional
  • 3 TBSP. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 5 TBSP. butter, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 6 tsp. milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° F. Grease a 9x13" baking dish, set aside.
  • Take out cinnamon rolls from one package and cut each roll into 6 pieces. Arrange pieces all over bottom of dish.
  • In a bowl, dump in both cans of apple pie filling and mix in 1 tsp. cinnamon. Spread apple pie filling over cut up cinnamon rolls pieces.
  • Take rolls out of the second package and again cut each roll into 6 pieces. Arrange pieces all over apple pie filling.
  • In another bowl, make the cinnamon streusel topping by combining everything together. Mixture should be crumbly. Sprinkle topping all over the top of casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for about 50 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle shows the cinnamon rolls are cooked through.
Note: Each oven runs differently, temperature wise. So please keep an eye on your casserole. It may need to cook a little less or more depending on your oven.
  • Lastly, while casserole is baking, mix up the cream cheese frosting. Once out of oven, slather it all over the top and enjoy! Makes 12 servings.
