Hey foodies, it’s Marcie here! Food is life! Food has the ability to bring people together and evoke feelings of happiness. Food can also be comforting to the soul. I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen baking up yummy sweets and treats for my family and friends; I have the biggest sweet tooth! I also enjoy being able to cook for my boys and provide healthier meal options at dinnertime. For me, balance means making healthier food choices, but also enjoying that cookie (or two) or even a slice of cake and not feeling guilty for doing so; you have to live a little, right?
I am the main cook/baker in our family, but my boys are not afraid to roll-up their sleeves and pitch in to help me out. Our 12 year old son Ryan, who is a handsome and very helpful young man, joins me in the kitchen from time to time to lend a helpful hand…I give him the task of seasoning and adding wonderful flavor to our dishes; he’s a great young chef in the making!
I live a gluten-free lifestyle–at least I try my hardest at doing so. Therefore, I try and post more of those types of recipes here on our blog. We like to create fun, unique, and delicious foods as a family and want to share them all with you. There are many gluten-free and healthier options on our blog as well as lots of other fun treats and yummy foods to choose from! So, stay awhile and find something delicious to make today!
